A Silk Press is where you blow dry the hair in sections and then flat iron to complete the straightening process. Many stylists use a Chi Flat Iron.
Pre-Press
I know alot of ladies are concern about damaging the natural curly pattern of the hair.
I’m not excluded. What I usually do is a pre-press or pre-straightening process. I deep condition the hair with my favorite deep conditioner and comb it through with my wide tooth comb in the shower. I ring out the excess water and cover with a plastic cap. Sit under the dryer for about 15-20 mins. Finally rinsing the excess conditioner and let air dry. Or plait into big twist or two braids.
In addition to this process I practice these 5 other steps for preventing heat damage.
My next step is to get a long layer trim which I hope looks good curly as well as straight.

I am so imspired by your journey. This is just another incredible example to all of our black sisters everywhere that wearing our hair the way God made it is the best way for it to retain its length, health and beauty just as any other race does. God bless you as you continue your beautiful journey and blessings to all of you lovely sisters out there who are natral, or transitioning to your natral royalty!
I would like to know what products you used to get these looks
This is nice. Your hair is beautiful. I just took down a sew in weave. I had sew ins for nearly 2 years, due to a pregnancy. Reading blogs like yours lets me know that I can remain natural. I work out as well.
