We all have those days where we need a little variety and versatility added to our favorite natural hairstyle.
If you frequent my site, Natural Hair Rules.com, you know that my favorite natural hair style is the Twist Out. It’s easy and works for any length of hair.
You can see my entire natural hair routine here.
I’ve been wearing this natural hairstyle since I first went natural to now where I’ve been natural for over 10 years. You can see pictures here.
A Two Strand Twists and a Twist Out is the perfect natural hairstyle for work, fun, and everything in between.
You can rock them in a low chignon or bun for a few days. Then when you’re ready to take them down it’s like you have a totally different hairstyle.

Half Up Half Down Natural Hair Style
This style gives the illusion of a side pony tail or puff. You do one large tuck and roll starting in the front and ending midpoint in the back.
If you really want to be fancy you can do the same thing on the other side for a quick protective style.

Banded or Pull Back in the Front
Use an elastic headband to gently push the hair back. In the slightest bit of humidity, the front of my hair turns into an afro. An elastic headband is perfect for keeping the frizz at bay.
Here are the black elastic headbands that I use.

Pineappling with a Scarf
Pineappling with a scarf isn’t just for bedtime. Its a cute way to protect your hair from the elements. And it doesn’t matter how long your hair is. A designer scarf is the perfect accessory.

Twisted Front
This style is very similar to the Half up-Half Down Hairstyle. You would tuck and roll the front or the crown area of your hair. Or if you prefer a rope twist or flat twist, these are also perfect for this style.
Use a couple of bobby pins to secure any hair left. I tuck and pin toward the middle. Click Here for breakage proof bobby and hair pins.
