Flaxseed hair gel is a natural, inexpensive hair product particularly suited for curly or wavy hair. It defines and moisturizes curly hair without creating stiffness or crunchiness. Many additional ingredients can be added to homemade flaxseed gel to customize it for the particular needs of your hair. The following process takes approximately 7 minutes.
Flaxseed gel is also a great alternative styling product for those allergic to mainstream or traditional natural hair products.
Flaxseed gel lasts about two weeks refrigerated, or longer with added preservatives. It can be frozen for later use.

If you want curl definition & the conditioning of hops, make it with cheap beer. I add essential oil for fragrance & it is the bomb. The more water you add, the softer the hold will be. The beer scent dissipates when it’s dry & essential oils mask it anyway. Add 1 oz Everclear or similar grain alcohol for extended life, esp if you want to keep some in your purse. It will tell you when it’s expired. I haven’t bought hair gel for 3 years.:)
How do you make it with beer? Would you share your recipe? It would be greatly appreciated. I want a natural and effective gel.
