4 Quick Natural Hairstyles for Moms

I have a very busy toddler who only moves at lightning speed. Seriously, he takes off running everywhere. You can see for yourself. Here’s a video of what our evening walk looks like. Needless to say, I don’t have the 5+ hours to dedicate to wash day like I used to. I had to find quick natural hairstyles for my long, thick natural hair. Below are 4 of my favorites.

Top Knot

This bun gives me life. Its super easy. I love a quick hairstyle that still looks uniquely intricate. And this style is just that. I know what you’re thinking “I can’t wait til my hair gets that long”. But don’t worry; this style works for hair as short as neck length. High Bun

Before I learned how to do the jumbo twist top knot above, I would rock a plain ole top bun. Its was perfect for protective styling when your little one is in that pulling hair stage. You can find out how I do my high bun.

Jumbo Flat Twist

This quickly became my go-to hairstyle after my son was born. Center part, twist, tuck, pin, and done. That took 5 minutes. This is a style you can do while in the shower if you want. I wear two jumbo twist to stretch my hair without heat sometimes. After my hair is completely dry (which takes a day and a half), I take the twist down and go back to my Top Knot. *My hair is blow out in the pic below.

The Twist Out is the ole faithful of natural hairstyles. If I want to wear my hair down; its in a twist out. I’m ashamed to admit but it makes be feel fancy.
