Very interesting, encouraging and informative. I love your thoughts and the information you put out! I have been natural for almost 2 yrs now. I always hated getting a perm but I had what ppl called “GOOD HAIR” my hair was long and silky and it moved and shaked, but guess what?? why should I have to sit in a chair and burn just to get these results… I was ignorant to the fact that ALL I HAD TO DO WAS….STOP putting those chemicals in my hair!!! I love my natural hair and will NEVER put a relaxer in again. I am 25 and one day hope to have children of my own and I will help them embrace the NATURAL BEAUTY of their NATURAL hair! It’s that simple. I’ve been natural for 10 years and I’ve noticed that men who think I’m beautiful would think so no matter what my hair was like. The ones who didn’t may or may not change their minds if my hair was different. Thus, I ignore the latter group of men! Men respond to confidence and self-conciousness. If you’re self-concious about your hair (or the extreme opposite, you’re indifferent about your hair and it looks like you don’t care for it at all — natural or not) that’s unattractive.
