Miss Jessie’s Fingerstyling

WHAT IS FINGERSTYLING? FINGERSTYLING IS A CURLY STYLING TECHNIQUE. APPLY PRODUCT WITH FINGERS WHILE HAIR IS WET AND DETANGLED. SPREAD MISS JESSIE’S CURLY PUDDINGâ„¢ OR CURLY MERINGUEâ„¢ FROM ROOT TO END. TYPICALLY, YOU WILL DRY YOUR HAIR UNDER AN OVERHEAD DRYER UNTIL FULLY DRY OR YOU CAN AIR-DRY. AIR-DRYING CAN TAKE A LONG TIME DEPENDING ON LENGTH + DENSITY. SHRINKAGE
I decided to fingerstyle my hair with Miss Jessie’s Curly Pudding. I like the results my hair looks shiny with a firm hold. The purpose of trying this technique was to see if I would have the same look in the morning of something that looks just as good.
The picture below are the aftermath of seating under the dryer for about 20-30 mins. The key to this style or any of the Miss Jessie’s style techniques is to keep the hair dripping wet and spread the product from root to tip. I like this products but they are expensive. They are quality products but there are less expensive products or combination of products that will get the job done. Well, let me not speak too soon. I’ll give my final verdict in the morning after my nightly ‘toss and turn’.

Okay so I wake up this morning and took the satin scarf off my head. I just knew I was in for a mess of bed hair but to my amazement it was okay. I did a few finger scrunches and then went to work out. After the work out it was sprinkling but even in the midst; my hair was STILL okay. It didn’t even frizz in the midst or humidity. It shrank a bit but that problem can be easily solved.

Overall, I’m impressed with this product. Its not an everyday product by any means but if you are styling your hair with the intent of maintaining the style for a few days; I highly recommend this product. A little bit goes a long way.

  1. Miss Jessie’s is great! I have multiple hair textures in my house and had to read the literature to ensure I used the right one for each type. The Baby Butter Cream is awesome and doesn’t leave a residue. The Curly Pudding is even better when mixed with Baby Butter Cream to keep moisture with great shine. Without Baby Butter Cream Curly pudding is good as well just don’t come it as it locks in the style, curl and shine. You don’t have to reapply product everyday as a quick spray with your water bottle will refresh your curls.

Hello…my experience with Miss Jessie’s has not been positive. My hair type must not be what it calls for to get great results.

found this product to be greasy so my usual finger in the hair was a no go cause of the residue. I am surprised at the oil products they use in this product. I’m pretty sure I can reproduce this product without the greasiness, on the up side I do think my hair looked great for a little while today, maybe with a couple more tries I’ll get the hang of it and maybe better results. OTOH I need an everyday product.

  4. I love your hair in this pic. It looks great!

Patrice,I understand. I experienced the same thing when I did my friends hair but it was the combination of products that I use. So don’t completely write it off yet.

Your hair looks great. I on the other hand, have had terrible experiences with this product. It flakes like hell and made my hair really dry. I’m not a Miss Jessie’s fan, but it looks great on you.

Heat Styled Natural,Thank you! A Hooded Dryer is a great investment. It is healthier than blow drying and aids in better style results.

  8. It came out so cute! I may have to cave and get myself a hooded dryer.
