Flax Seed Gel Recipe

Recipe 2
  • 2 tablespoon Golden flaxseed
  • 1 cup distilled or filtered water
  • 1/4 teaspoon citric acid (preservative)
  • 5 drops of essential oil (your choice but it’s a good idea to use the citrus ones since they are antibacterial)
  • 5 drops of clove essential oil (antibacterial)

  1. If you want curl definition & the conditioning of hops, make it with cheap beer. I add essential oil for fragrance & it is the bomb. The more water you add, the softer the hold will be. The beer scent dissipates when it’s dry & essential oils mask it anyway. Add 1 oz Everclear or similar grain alcohol for extended life, esp if you want to keep some in your purse. It will tell you when it’s expired. I haven’t bought hair gel for 3 years.:)

I purchased some aloe flax seed gel from naturalista cosmetics.. this is really a great product &it doesnt make ur hair crunchy..I look at the recipe & say to myself I can do it.. but just to watch how it boils & thickens.. kind of looks nasty..lol.. even after it cools off.. but flax seed gel is the best..
