I was in the grocery store looking at hair products in an attempt to re-stock. A young lady was on the same aisle looking at products as well. She had her head covered, maybe in efforts to hide a bad hair day. Or maybe she was deep conditioning. I don’t know. But I could tell she was natural by the ‘kitchen’.
Being the person I am I wanting to offer advice about my product picks. But I remembered that I had been at work all day and my hair was simple not its stylish best. It had been a long week and I was try something new; had not yet perfected the style. I saw the Giovanni products in her basket so she was on the right path. But still I felt maybe a little advice wouldn’t hurt. My hair though it looked healthy with a little curl definition it was still not praise worthy. So I decided against it. I thought “this lady is going to think I’m crazy; TRYIN’ to give advice and my head lookin’ a hot mess!”
What’s your take on this? Would you offer advice if you were in the same situation?
When is it okay to offer unsolicited hair advice?

What would have been the worst that could have happened???
But, I say all this, but I know, especially right now (just not sure who my hair is and how to truly give it the best care), I would have done the same thing…
Me personally, I only give advice if asked for it. It can be rude to offer unsolicited advice, especially since you don’t know the chick from Eve.
