Are you in the Delaware Area? There’s a natural hair expo coming your way.

De Naturalistas,” a natural hair and holistic event organizing company in Delaware, will host “Naturally ReDefined: Delaware’s First Natural Hair Expo” from 12-7 p.m. on Sunday, April 15.

The expo will take place at the Executive Banquet and Conference Center, located at 205 Executive Dr., Newark, Del. 19702.

Many vendors will be available during the expo, offering an array of products such as: natural products for hair and body, clothing, makeup, etc. There will be workshops to educate participants about natural hair, and non-profit organizations showcasing their work.

Live music and entertainment will include local artists, DJs, photographers, a natural hair competition, and door prizes for guests to win. Tickets for the event can be purchased at www.naturallyredefined.eventbrite.com. Cost is $15 per person for regular admission, with an online convenience fee.

Latoya Watson and Tywanda Howie founded the Delaware Naturalistas last summer. Their goal was to educate consumers about options for wearing natural hairstyles. Their hope is to encourage women to forgo using chemicals on their hair.
