Houston's Own Carol's Daughter

For those who live in the Houston Area and love all natural products, The Original Fragrance Shop is a well-keep secret. Owner Mrs. Roberta, hand crafts her products with natural ingredients and infused essential oils.  These products have unique fragances such as Botanical Tea Shampoo which has an exhiliarating  rosemary and lavender scent that stimulate the scalp and promote growth. This shampoo is made with castille and glycerin soap, so its gentle and won’t strip the natural oils of your hair.
One of my favorites is the Hair Pudding Conditioner (see picture). I actually co-wash with this conditioner. The Hair Pudding leave the hair soft, moisturized and manageable.

Product Revisted Dr. Bronner Pure Castile Peppermint Soap

As a product junkie, It is easy to lose track of products and their performance. Every now and again I give my forgotten products another chance to wow me. This weekend it was Dr. Bronner Castile Soap, which is all natural and sulfate free. It is highly concentrated yet gentle. It is readily available at any health food store or grocery store with a low price tag. This product should only be used about once a week; it can be drying if used in excess. It is very important to use a good conditioner to re-moisturizer the hair which is the same for all shampoos. This no-poo product (shampoo alternative) is infused with different essential oils to meet your different scalp needs. For example peppermint for dry scalp or rose to soothe scalp. Dr. Bronner’s is a all-n-one, so its multiple purpose and doubles as a body wash. The peppermint gives a cooling sensation which I love.

Our most popular fragrance. The peppermint essential oil tingles the body and clears the mind. Because therapeutically peppermint oil is a mild stimulant it increases vitality and clarity. All oils and essential oils are certified organic to the National Organic Standards Program. Packaged in 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.
INGREDIENTS:Water, Saponfied Organic Coconut Oil*, Saponified Organic Olive Oil*, Organic Glycerin, Organic Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Mentha Arvensis Extract, Organic Mentha Peperita (Peppermint) Oil, Citric Acid, Tocopherol (* Certified Fair Trade by IMO)

This styling gel is able to compete with product such as Kinky Curly Curling Custard. And its a whole lot cheaper. Its about $5 where KCCC and Miss Jessie’s are $27 and $37.
