Beyonce and Blue Ivy were at last night’s MTV VMA awards. The Queen Bey hit the red carpet with an entourage of 30 which not only included daughter, Blue Ivy but also mothers of Trayvon Martin, Micheal Brown, Eric Garner and Oscar Grant.
The “Formation” singer was surrounded by not only the various singers and models who appeared in her “Lemonade” visual video, but also by the Mothers of the Movement, women who have lost their children to gun violence.
The mothers of Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin and Oscar Grant—Gwen Carr, Lezley McSpadden, Sybrina Fulton and Wanda Johnson, respectively—stood beside Beyoncé at the Madison Square Garden venue in New York. Carr, McSpadden and Fulton previously appeared in “Lemonade” and during the video, held up photos remembering their sons.
Mommy and Daughter duo were dressed in a layered tutu, kicks and her mom was dressed in a Francesco Scognamiglio Fall 2016 Couture gown.
